How long is the GRT Bike Trek?
The Greenbrier River Trail Bike Trek route is 66 miles long over a two day span.
Is there a minimum fundraising requirement?
Yes, there is a minimum fundraising requirement of $500 per person. Participants have until event day to meet their minimum fundraising requirement of $500 per person. Participants who have not met their fundraising requirement on event day will need to pay the outstanding amount in order to participate in the ride.
Does my registration fee go towards the fundraising minimum for each person?
No. The registration fee goes directly to the Greenbrier River Bike Trek to assist with operational costs.

Fundraising Minimum: $500 per rider
What type of trail surface is on the GRT?
The trail currently uses 1/4" limestone crusher run. A few areas of 3/4" limestone still exist. There is also paved areas in and out of Marlinton.
What bikes are recommended?
Honestly, any bike will do, as long as you are comforable riding it. The big thing is tires. You want to make sure that the tires have a width of at least 35 mm. You can ride with less, just expect some grip in some gravel areas.
What about e-bike?
Class 1 and Class 2 electric bicycles are allowed and are given the same rights and privileges of a traditional, non-electric bicycle.
Class 1 - Pedal assist with no throttle. Assist goes up to 20 mph.
Class 2 - Pedal assist with throttle option. Assist goes up to 20 mph.
Class 3 e-bikes are NOT PERMITTED on the GRT!
